UNIJOS Admission Requirements

• UTME Requirement: Prospective students seeking admission into UNIJOS must have sat for the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and obtained a minimum score of 180.

• O’Level Requirement: Prospective students must possess at least five credit passes in relevant subjects, including Mathematics and English Language, at not more than two sittings in either the West African Examination Council (WAEC) or the National Examination Council (NECO) or their equivalent.

• Post-UTME Screening: Candidates who meet the UTME and O’level requirements will be required to participate in the university’s post-UTME screening exercise, which usually consists of a written examination and oral interview.

• Direct Entry: Prospective students who wish to gain admission into UNIJOS through Direct Entry must possess a minimum of two A-Level passes in relevant subjects or an equivalent qualification. Candidates with National Diploma (ND), Higher National Diploma (HND), or Bachelor’s degree may also be considered for Direct Entry.

• Age Requirement: Candidates seeking admission into UNIJOS must not be less than 16 years of age by the 31st of October of the year of admission.
